I couldn't figure out the problem and I just ended up uninstalling the mapping software. This was great in theory but when the mapping software was active it would regularly cause the joystick to flash it's lights and then recalibrate so if was pulling on the stick it would recalibrate that position as center. Fight mode was even pip distribution, hardpoints deployed, sensors at medium. Cruise mode had all pips to engines, two to shields, and long range to sensors. In landing mode it would deploy lights and landing gear, sensor range at minimum, then switch my power distribution to full shields and 2 pips in engines. I had this custom setup where the mode switch would change my setup from 'landing mode', 'cruise mode' and 'fight mode' using the mapping software's macro function. Speaking of mode switching, I was really disappointed by the X52 mapping software. its extremely possible I just really suck at driving the SRV but last night I was collecting guardian materials and found it very difficult, particularly using the turret. My main differences is that I used the mode switch (your 'ship lights') to change fire groups so I can switch groups without letting go of the sticks. So I use a logitech x52 throttle and flight stick and have only minimally remaped for flying and really enjoy it, but the SRV control defaults for it seem. I was using pinkie trigger + button combos.
